Artichoke
A high fibre and unique snack
Ingredients
2 artichokes
1 tbsp margarine/butter
1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
1. Chop most of the stalk off the artichoke
2. Fill a large pot with water and gently place artichoke in pot
3. Bring to the boil and turn artichoke every 15 minutes for 1 hour
4. In a microwave safe bowl, add butter/margine and melt in microwave. Add lemon juice and stir.
5. Remove artichoke from boiling water
6. Remove one leaf at a time, dip the bottom part of the leaf in a dipping sauce
7. Then place it in your mouth and slide it out of your mouth, pulling it through your teeth to remove the pulp from the leaves. Discard the remaining petal. Continue until all the leaves have been enjoyed!
