Apple berry crumble

This dish can be enjoyed at breakfast with yoghurt and as a dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream

Ingredients

  • 1 800g tin Ardmona Pie Fruit Apples Sliced

  • 500g mixed frozen berries

  • 1/2 cup traditional oats

  • 1/2 cup almond meal

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2-3 tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • Optional extras: chia seeds, crushed walnuts, slivered almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees

  2. Grease an ovenproof dish, and put in the apples and berries

  3. Mix together all the dry ingredients then add the butter/margarine

  4. Combine with hands until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

  5. Place over the apple berry mixture

  6. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or lightly golden.
